Top 8 South Florida Wedding Venues | South Florida Documentary Wedding Photographer

Working in the Wedding Industry for the last 7 years has taken me to so many lovely venues all over the country. Most of my favorites are similar in the abundant of greenery they possess. Gardens, Estates and Farms offer the lush look I adore for my client’s wedding photos!

Here are my Top 8 Favorite Wedding Venues for South Florida in no particular order!

  1. Thalatta Estate – Palmetto Bay, FL

Thalatta Estate is actually a bird sanctuary in Miami that I fell in love with while second shooting a wedding with Ricky Stern. It is a huge property, has really gorgeous architecture, gardens and a spectacular view of the Bay. Here’s a link to the blog post if you want to see more of the beauty that Thalatta Estate has to offer for your wedding day.

2. Flamingo Gardens – Davie, Florida

If you love nature, the outdoors and peacocks, then Flamingo Gardens might be the right wedding venue for you. I grew up visiting this picturesque park but it hits on a different level when you witness a wedding under that large hammock tree. Can’t wait to document another special day at this lovely park. Here’s a link to a gorgeous wedding I had the pleasure of documenting a few years back.

If you are having a more intimate wedding, love old Spanish architecture and adore garden settings, the Ancient Spanish Monastery is calling you. I fell in absolute love with this property and can not wait to document another wedding day here. Here’s a link to the the intimate Hindu Wedding Ceremony I photographed at the Spanish Monastery.

4. Vizcaya – Miami, Florida

Probably the most famous wedding venue in all of South Florida, and what is not to love about this photographer’s playground? This gorgeous estate is located Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate includes Italian Renaissance gardens, native Florida landscapes and beautiful historic buildings. I will never say no to a Vizcaya Elopement or Wedding Day. Fairytale vibes all the way for Vizcaya Weddings! Here’s a link to an Elopement I photographed a while back.

I feel like Coconut Grove to Homestead is sprinkled with some of my favorite wedding venues in South Florida. The Deering Estate is one of the loveliest properties I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing at. From the lush tropical foliage to the historical architecture and a stunning view of the Bay, it is the perfect backdrop for a wedding day.

7. Benvenuto Restaurant – Boynton Beach, FL

Benvenuto is a restaurant and event space in Boyton Beach and they specialize in weddings. There is an adorable outdoor area for the ceremony but can accommodate an indoor ceremony in a pinch. The staff at Benvenuto is very helpful and every experience I’ve had has been fantastic.

This wedding was moved indoors last minute but despite the rain, it was a gorgeous evening!

8. Villa Woodbine – Miami, FL

Villa Woodbine is another Miami favorite for me. Historical home vibes, lush botanicals and can easily become a Bohemian backdrop for your Wedding Day. I’ve documented several amazing weddings at this incredible venue.
