A truly whimsical Wedding Day in the Woods surrounding the Smoky Mountains. Inviting only their closest friends and family from all over the Country, this Couple chose to have their guests stay in the Nolichukey Cabins on the property where they were hosting their Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Destination Weddings can be so much fun having all of the guests staying together for the few days up to the celebration.
This Couple was true to themselves in so many ways with their intentional choices. The Bride hand sewed butterflies onto her veil hours before she walked down the aisle. The Groom wore his favorite sneakers, New Balance. I truly love when Couples chose to represent themselves and their passions within their day and this Couple did just that. Of course they also included their two dogs which always makes me so happy.
The weather was cold and crisp and the leaves were falling all around us like snowflakes. Mountains in mid November are a total vibe that I am all about. Every single aspect of this Wedding Day was just picture perfect.
Most Wedding Days I have a pretty tight timeline and Family Formals list already printed out, but this Wedding I just had the time I was suppose to show up, when guests were arriving for the Ceremony and that was it. The rest of the day we just flowed from one part to the next with ease. No timeline needed. With Intimate Weddings you don’t have to be as rigid, especially when everyone is staying in walking distance to the venue.
Since there was no videography team, I chose to document this day for a GIF Movie. If you have eight minutes, it’s definitely worth watching. I truly love documenting Wedding Days in this magical way.
Viewing the photos in motion just gives another perspective of the day. I love how parts of it look like a Super 8 film. Anyway, I am obsessed with creating these GIF Movies and I hope you enjoy it.

Often times after a First Look the Couple will want a few moments to themselves. So I head over to document details or anything else that is happening around the area. I took advantage of the extra time and photographed all the table decor since I would’t have time to do it after the ceremony before guests sat down. Perfect timing. The tableware was STUNNING. I love a mismatched vintage vibe and this team put together just that. Perfect for an Intimate Forest Wedding.
After lunch, everyone had a chance for a three hour nap in their cabins while the vendors set up for the evening BBQ and bonfire at a location nearby on the property. I ran an errand and edited the first round of sneak peeks for the Couple.
Thank you to all of the amazingly talented and creative vendors I had the pleasure of working with. It truly was the most magical Destination Wedding yet!
