When this inquiry came through for a Thanksgiving weekend Proposal at Inness in the Hudson Valley, I was so excited for it. The Hudson Valley is such a magical place and the Catskills are some of my favorite backdrops for sessions.
A few weeks before the Proposal I took a drive down to Accord to check out Inness and find the perfect spots for the proposal and portraits afterward. The property is quite beautiful, I imagine in every season. We planned to do the proposal at a tiny pond and then walk the property to get the best light and views and everything went perfectly. I brought my Assistant (who happens to be my Girlfriend) as a decoy and she helped carry coats and wrangled Joey, the Couple’s adorable puppy.
The weather was chilly but we warmed up after the proposal and walked around the property creating these beautiful portraits. I love how they turned out.
