When I Facetimed with Kate and Hannah after their initial inquiry, I think we all knew it was meant to be. These two found me on a Google Search “LGBTQ Witchy Wedding Photographer” which I think is the most perfect thing ever.
When they expressed their dream to elope in Colorado (a destination for them) and that they were staying at a private hot springs, I knew this was a perfect dreamy elopement I had to be a part of. Destination Elopements and Weddings make my heart sing. I love mixing my love for travel with my love for documenting these magical days.
Kate and Hannah planned every detail of their day so intentionally and cosmically it’s honestly hard to put into words. From their pagan celebrant with incredibly beautiful ceremony rituals to the amazing location they picked to stay during their elopement adventure, the day was a literal dream. Violet, their wonder dog was even able to join in on the celebration which is always a fun time. I love how they made the day their own starting off with breakfast in the cabin, getting ready in the same space but still able to have a first look moment, performing rituals that were meaningful to them as partners, and ending the night with a campfire.
It was 7 degrees when I woke up on elopement day but these two brought all the warm and fuzzies throughout the day. (Thank goddess it warmed up!)
Here are a few of my favorite images from their magical elopement day.
Where’s the best location for portraits after an epic Wiccan wedding ceremony?
An old cemetery, clearly.
This was truly a memorable day that I will never forget. Kate and Hannah, thank you for choosing me.
